Your Responsibilities to Us

Being a partner means we have responsibilities to each other. We ask that you treat the doctors, all practice staff and their families with the same courtesy and respect.

Please read our practice leaflet. This will help you get the best out of the service we offer.

Please let us know if you change your name, address or telephone number, including your mobile telephone number.

Please consult our practice leaflet for advice about how to manage minor ailments in the home.

Please only use the 5.45pm same day block booking facility if it is truly important that you be seen that day.

Doctors will not accept telephone calls in surgery between 9.00am and 11.30am unless the matter is urgent.

Although we are happy to do home visits if you are in genuine need, these are time consuming and not available for convenience factors. If you require a visit after discharge from hospital please phone the surgery.

You should telephone for your investigation results after 11.30am and not before the day recommended. We will only contact you if there is significant abnormality that requires some action. The exception is for cervical smears, when we shall always write to you with the result.

Each doctor and nurse will always be away on average for one week per year for continuing education.

We will remove from our list patients who are violent or seriously abusive towards any of the practice staff. Family members of these patients may also be removed from our list. Violent patients and their families may now forfeit the right to be registered with a doctor of their choice. They may be allocated to specialist GP practice by NEW Devon CCG.
